AI-Assisted Blended Instruction in Blended Learning: Your Way AI Way; Let’s Meet Halfway
Dr Marine Milad Shalaby
Dr. Marine is the Local Dean of the Faculty of Language Studies and an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics/TEFL at the Arab Open University in Kuwait. She holds a PhD in TEFL, Curriculum and Instructions from Cairo University, graduating with distinction. Dr. Shalaby has extensive experience in both governmental and private sectors across the MENA region, contributing significantly to language education and teacher training. She is also the past president of TESOL Kuwait (2020–2022), affiliated with TESOL International.
At the LC Conference & IMLD Celebration 2025, Dr. Shalaby will explore the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in blended learning environments. Her presentation will focus on identifying the role of AI-assisted blended instructions, applying valuable AI tools to enhance teaching and learning practices, and integrating these tools to complement human expertise. She will introduce a balanced approach to AI integration, aiming to meet halfway between traditional methods and AI innovations. Attendees will gain insights into strategies for effectively incorporating AI into educational settings to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.
