Frida Dalia RODAS GUILLÉN
Frida Dalia Rodas Guillén is a Certified Professional Translator with a degree in Translation from the prestigious Ricardo Palma University in Lima, Peru. Proficient in six languages – English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish – Frida has extensive experience working on diverse projects, including legal texts, scientific treaties, technical writings, and works in the social sciences, humanities, and literature. Beyond her translation expertise, she is also a writer of prose and poetry, with published works that blend Spanish and ancestral languages such as Aymara, Quechua, Puquina, and Urukilla.
At the Linguists Collective Conference and International Mother Language Day Celebration 2025, Frida will address the challenges of legal translation. Her talk will explore the ethical and professional complexities of translating legal texts, including terminological equivalencies, differences between legal systems, specialised legal language, and the impact these translations have on clients.
