Barbara Ricci is a highly skilled linguist and educator with a strong academic background. Holding a Master’s in Modern Languages and Literatures, she also earned a Master’s in education and a Bachelor’s in interpreting and translation. Currently at the University of Bristol, Barbara teaches Italian and contributes to the Master of Arts in Translation program at the University of Bristol. Beyond academia, she serves as a Public Service Interpreter, specialising in mental health interpreting. Barbara tutors Interpreting Courses (Level 2 – 6) at WEA and LSUK, and conducts training on Ethics and Standards of Practice in Interpreting. In addition to her teaching roles, Barbara is an experienced audiovisual translator, excelling in subtitling and dubbing. Her diverse skill set showcases a dedication to language education, communication accessibility, and maintaining high professional standards in interpreting.
